Meet Cassie M. of Fond du Lac (Wisconsin)

Here’s what Cassie had to share about her experience with Into the Woods Wellness and the Personalized Wellness Program.

✨ Wellness Journey Reflection:

I reached a point where my sugar addiction was spiraling out of control. I wasn’t paying attention to what I was putting into my body because I was in pure survival mode. I was trying to be a mom to two boys, a supportive wife, and work full time — and somewhere in all of that, I disappeared. My clothes stopped fitting, and every month I felt like I needed to buy the next size up. For nine years, ever since my boys were born, I stopped prioritizing myself.  ITW changed that. It helped me stay the course, kept me motivated, and supported me as I worked toward my goals. I’m now off multiple medications and continuing to taper off more. I’ve lost 22 pounds — and I’m not done. I’ve learned how to eat clean, prep meals for the week, and bring what I’ve learned about nutrition into my home for my boys and my husband.

If you’re thinking about joining ITW, my advice is simple: start now. The shift from survival mode to self‑ownership sounded compelling to me. The strongest takeaway is how choosing myself didn’t take anything away from my family; it actually gave them a healthier, more present version of me.
Some days are harder than others, but the gift is that you can always begin again. “Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling — but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just… start.”
