Mary’s journey as a classroom teacher and student of yoga for over 30 years have intersected in her most recent endeavor. As a 200 hour registered Yoga Teacher and Social Emotional Learning Facilitator, Mary entwines her knowledge of neuroscience with the ancient wisdom of Yoga. It is her belief that the practice of Yoga on the mat can optimize one’s life off the mat.
Recently she completed her certification as a Brain Longevity® Specialist through the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation™.
Although yoga has its origins in ancient India, its methods and purposes are universal, relying not on cultural background, faith or deity, but simply on the individual. Yoga has become important in the lives of many contemporary Westerners, sometimes as a way of improving health and fitness of the body, but also as a means of personal and spiritual development.
